Wagner FLEXiO 590 Features

First off, it’s perfect for all sorts of DIY projects – from furniture to walls to ceilings. So whether you’re a seasoned furniture painter or just starting out, the FLEXiO 590 paint sprayer is a versatile tool that can handle various surfaces.

And let’s talk about its nozzles – yes, there are two included in the package! The iSpray nozzle is great for larger projects while the Detail Finish Nozzle is perfect for smaller and more detailed work. So no matter the size of your project, you’ll have the right nozzle for the job.

Another great feature is its ability to spray unthinned materials. Thanks to its X-Boost turbine, this paint sprayer can handle most interior and exterior paints and stains without thinning them out first. Plus, with 10 speed settings on the X-Boost Power Dial, you can easily adjust the flow of material and get precise control.

Let’s not forget about its impressive speed. This paint sprayer is 10 times faster than using a brush, and it can spray up to 8 gallons per hour! That’s a huge time saver, especially when you have a big project at hand.

Also, the 590 is interchangeably known as the FLEXiO 3000, so don’t get confused if you come across both names. They are the same model and have the same features. You can check out our guide on how to use the FLEXiO 3000 or 590 to make the most out of your Wagner paint sprayer.

We also did a comparison of the Wagner FLEXiO 3500 VS 590, so if you’re considering these 2 models, you can learn more about their similarities and differences in that post.

My Wagner FLEXiO 590 Review

Overall, my experience with the Wagner FLEXiO 590 has been positive. Its ability to create a super fine finish is definitely one of its biggest strengths. And considering its price point, it’s a pretty budget-friendly option compared to other paint sprayers.

Another aspect that I appreciate is its portability – no need for an air compressor, making it easy to use in different areas around the house. And the fact that it comes with 2 different nozzles is a nice bonus.

However, there are some minor issues that can be frustrating at times, such as the initial splattering. To avoid splattering when starting the motor, you have to be careful and pull the trigger only partially to get it running, then pull it all the way back to start spraying.

You also have to be prepared to thin your paint before using the FLEXiO 590. While it can handle thick paints as they are, the finish may not be ideal. Thinning the paint by 10-20% will give you a smoother and more consistent result.

It doesn’t come with a viscosity cup to help with the thinning process, which can be inconvenient. You can learn how to thin paint for Wagner FLEXiO sprayer here even without a cup, but it would have been more convenient if one was included in the package.

Despite these minor issues, I still recommend the Wagner FLEXiO 590 for various furniture and home improvement projects. It’s a versatile and efficient tool that can save you time and effort in getting that pro finish!
