Thanks for the love. Im afraid I don’t understand. If it’s painted, and you want to lighten it up, you can paint it a lighter shade. Cleaning it wouldn’t lighten up stain or paint that was put on properly. If strong enough, it would remove the paint altogether.

Thank you! That is not my problem, however. I have a painted china cabinet that is painted and I want to lighten it up a shade or two. I tried washing with Awesome, Ammonia, Spic & Span——-it cleaned it up but did not give me the results I wanted.

Is there anything else I can do?
